Shiny, feathery and dull spangles develop on the coating. Aluminum and antimony segregate towards the outer surface of the coating in the form of Al2O3 and Sb3Zn4. The segregation behavior of aluminum and antimony is explained by the solidification process of zinc in the galvanizing.
