Size-specific growth rates of green turtle (Ch. mydas) inhabiting in Mexican Caribbean are presented for the first time. Monotonic size-specific growth function displays the maximum growth rate (6.25 cm CCL yr− 1) at 46–48 cm CCL. Mean size had a non-linear relationship with growth and year of capture had a linear negative effect. Immatures at the minimum recruitment size (28 cm CCL) would require 14 years before reproduce.
