Photodegradation rate of TiO2@V2O5 core-shell HPMs towards benzene is greatly enhanced.

Light absorption range of TiO2@V2O5 core-shell HPMs is extended due to the narrowed band gap.

The photogenerated electrons and holes are effectively separated for TiO2@V2O5 core-shell HPMs.
