Cardiac Vγ1 + γδT cells infiltration peaked on day3 post CVB3 infection. Vγ1 + γδT cells represent a dominant early source for IL-4 in the heart. Vγ1 + γδT cells suppress CVB3-induced acute cardiac inflammation via IL-4. Vγ1 + γδT cells suppress peripheral IFNγ + CD4+ and CD8 + T response.
