IVIg is an effective therapy for primary and secondary ID and ITP. Infusions may take up to 4 h at the standard maximum rate of 1.85 ml/kg/hr. This study evaluated the tolerability and safety of infusion rates up to 8 ml/kg/hr. Treatment-related adverse events were mild and self-limiting. Rapid infusions were well tolerated and maintained patients' quality of life.
