Vitamin D status improves after 1-year of useful CPAP treatment in OSAS patients. Vitamin D levels remained unchanged in OSAS patients with scarse CPAP compliance. The beneficial effects of CPAP therapy is more evident in obese OSAS patients. The improvement of vitamin D homeostasis is significantly related to CPAP treatment.
