Reef walking is commonly promoted by ecotourist resorts on coral reefs. This activity profoundly impacts the abundance and diversity of coral, algae and fish. Handling of sea cucumbers by walkers negatively impacts the health of the animals. Better management and guidelines are needed for resorts facilitating reef walking.
