The ESCs with the thin 5YbSZ substrates of 90 μm are fabricated. The skeleton structure of 5YbSZ-LSM cathode is the best one for the 5YbSZ ESCs. The Pmax of the cell with 5YbSZ-LSM cathode could reach 0.62 W cm−2.
