Three SNPs in PD-L1 were independent prognostic factors in multivariate analyses. Functional analysis using luciferase assay supported biological plausibility of our results. Patients with higher PD-L1 expression had a better survival. These SNPs of PD-L1 may be useful for predicting patients' prognosis after surgery.
