Asian Americans have lower physical activity levels than other race/ethnic groups. Determinants of physical activity in Asian Americans are not well characterized. Strong identification with Chinese culture was associated with less exercise. Strong identification with American culture was associated with more exercise. Acculturation may not always be associated with worsening of health behaviors.
