QYD and swertiamarin attenuated testosterone-induced BPH. QYD and swertiamarin had anti-hyperplasia, anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties. QYD and swertiamarin regulated the prostatic expressions of AR, ER-α and ER-β. QYD and swertiamarin alleviated the prostatic over-expression of HIF-1α. QYD and swertiamarin decreased the prostatic ratio of Bcl-2/Bax.
