Martensitic transformation and microstructure of dual-phase Ti44Ni47Nb9 shape memory alloy after high-velocity impact

Ti44Ni47Nb9 alloy was impacted by a GCr15 projectile at 1.0 km·s− 1. The transformation temperature stabilized after three thermal cycles. Amount of dislocation accumulated at phase interface between β-Nb and matrix. The deformation mechanism of Ti44Ni47Nb9 alloy under impact was studied.
