Through integral studies on data analysis, the sequence stratigraphic framework of the Upper Cretaceous first member of Yaojia Formation in the Zhy-Tpch area, has been constructed. The first member of Yaojia Formation is dominated by shallow-water delta sedimentary systems. Eleven depositional environments, each with its own characteristic litho-facies and logging responses, have been identified. Distributary channels are the most favorable reservoirs for oil exploration in the Upper Cretaceous first member of Yaojia Formation.
