Non-heme dioxygenases in tumor hypoxia: They’re all bound with the same fate

文摘
The Human genome encodes several non-heme dioxygenases that require molecular oxygen for their activity. Ample evidence suggests that hypoxia inhibits human non-heme dioxygenase family DNA repair proteins ALKBH2 and ALKBH3. Inhibition of ALKBH2 and ALKBH3 could be one of the contributing factors affecting genomic stability.
