We developed a new domain-specific SE contingency questionnaire for adolescents.

It measures SE contingency in domains considered important for adolescents.

It includes balanced numbers of positive and negative items per contingency domain.

Confirmatory factor analyses supported the 4 × 2 structure of the questionnaire.

Results also supported its convergent, discriminant and external validity.
