Combustion of different ages of bamboo, coal and their blends was studied using TGA. Bamboo properties were enhanced by thermal treatment. Raw bamboo has the highest fuel reactivity and lowest ignition temperature. DTG curves indicate that Bamboo-biochar improves the reactivity of blends. All samples tested exhibit lower burnout temperatures compared to coal.
