A sensitive and facile electrochemical aptasensor was developed for the detection of bisphenol A. Avidin-HRP-AuNP and the redox target bisphenol A were chosen as the dual-signaling indicators. The dual-signaling strategy shows high sensitivity and selectivity for detection of bisphenol A with a lower detection limit. This aptasensor is a universal protocol for the detection of redox targets, and promising for practical applications.
