The CaCuO2/CaCu2O3 thin film was successfully prepared by RF magnetron sputtering and subsequent annealing. The air annealing was found can effectively enhance the film quality and the NLO property. The CaCuO2/CaCu2O3 thin film is a suitable NLO candidate compared to the known NLO materials. The fabricated CaCuO2/CaCu2O3 thin film was characterized by SEM, XRD, HRTEM, XPS and Z-scan techniques.
