Chiral 2,6-bis(thiazolinyl)pyridines were examined as ligands for ruthenium-catalyzed asymmetric catalytic cyclopropanation of olefins with diisopropyl diazomethylphosphonate and ethyl diazoacetate. Enantioselectivities of up to 84 % for the trans-cyclopropylphosphonate were observed.
