PTSD symptoms and suicidal behaviors were measured in a large firefighter sample. Greater PTSD symptoms were related to risk for suicide ideation (SI) and attempts. PTSD numbing and re-experiencing symptoms uniquely predicted risk for SI. PTSD re-experiencing symptoms uniquely predicted risk for previous attempts.
