Phage lysate generated using brucellaphage lytic to B. abortus S19. Immunoprotection of lysate was checked by direct challenge in guinea pig. Adjuvant lysate (antigen dose 1.04 μg protein & 120 μg CHO) showed highest protection compared to S19. Passive transfer of antibodies protected against challenge in mice. Antibodies alone are capable of protect against brucellosis.
