Swedish midwives and obstetricians born in 1955 and 1975 do not have a higher rate of caesarean section in their first birth compared to the population in general. Midwives born in 1975 have a significantly lower rate of instrumental deliveries compared to the population. In this study the two professions have similar opinions and attitudes towards caesarean section.
