Mesoporous solids SBA-15, SBA-16, MCM-41 and MCM-48 were synthesised.

The adsorption isotherms of nitrogen were measured at −196 °C.

Adsorption isotherms of different nonlinear alcohols were measured at different temperatures.

The results obtained show that hybrid DA model is valid for the polar molecules used.

Differential heats of adsorption for each of the alcohols used in this work show three.
