Fe3O4 nanoparticles modified mesoporous carbon nanospheres (Fe-MCNs) are synthesized. The Fe-MCNs possess uniform spherical morphology, mesoporous pore structure and magnetic separable features. Fe-MCNs exhibit a considerable adsorption capacity for Cr(VI).
