Infarct size is reduced in the absence of CD4+ T-cells after myocardial IR. Microvascular reperfusion is better in the absence of CD4+ T-cells after IR injury. Ejection fraction is better in the absence of CD4+ T-cells after myocardial IR. Presence of endogenous Foxp3+ CD4+ T-cells enhances myocardial IR injury.
