In the present study, we aimed to investigate the mechanism of action by which hUC-MSCs could improve cognitive function of AD mice. We found that hUC-MSCs can improve cognition of AD mice by decreasing oxidative stress and promoting hippocampal neurogenesis. Our findings demonstrate that hUC-MSCs can increase protein levels of Sirt1, BDNF and SYN.
