Sugar beet factory lime (SBFL) affects mobilization of metals in a floodplain soil. SBFL immobilized Cu, Cr, Pb, and Fe under a wide range of redox and pH conditions. SBFL immobilized Cd, Co, Mn, Mo, Ni, and Zn under oxic acidic conditions. SBFL mobilized Cd, Co, Mn, Mo, Ni, and Zn under reducing neutral conditions. Pre-set redox conditions affect release dynamics of metals via changes of pH.
