We monitored cursorial spiders and Dysaphis plantaginea abundance in apple orchards. PCR gut content analyses showed that 8 of 12 spider families predated D. plantaginea. Predation occurred in integrated production, organic and insecticide-free orchards. Early-season variation in aphid colony numbers related to Philodromus spp. abundance.
