Characterisation of coastal sediment by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) CF value follows the order: Cd > Cr > Pb > Ni > Zn > Mn > Al > Fe > Co > Cu. Except Cd, Igeo values are negative for all the metals studied. Likely combined toxicity probability on biota due to Cr, Cu, Cd, Pd, Zn is 21%.
