Sedimentary lake records from Arabia were reinterpreted as wetlands by Enzel et al. Multiple evidence for Early to Mid-Holocene lakes missed by Enzel is compiled. Increased African Summer Monsoon-related rainfalls charged aquifers, fed lakes.
