Synthesis and biological evaluation of novel dinuclear platinum(II) complexes derived from a novel chiral ligand

Six novel dinuclear platinum complexes with a now chiral tetradentate ligand which own two important pharmacophores (DACH) of oxaliplatin and a DNA insertion group (benzene ring) were degained, synthesized and spectrally characterized. The complex with the most potent antitumor activity, A2, showed better cytotoxicity than carboplatin against HepG-2 and A549 cell lines and also presented a certain activity against HCT-116 which are insensitive to carboplatin.
