Uracil, 5-fluorouracil, 5-chlorouracil, 5-bromouracil and 6-chlorouracil (6-chloro-2,6-dihydroxypyrimidine), 5-iodouracil, with molar masses of 0.1121kg · mol⁻¹, 0.1301kg · mol⁻¹, 0.1465kg · mol⁻¹, 0.1910kg · mol⁻¹,0.1465kg · mol⁻¹, 0.2380kg · mol⁻¹respectively, were purified by repeated crystallization. The mass fraction purity of each substance was greater than 0.99, as determined by a Du Pont 910 differential scanning calorimeter with a 1090 thermal analyzer.
