Using the stacked-foil activation technique, cross-sections of deuteron induced reactions on natural Sn were measured up to 40 MeV. Excitation functions are reported for the product nuclides ¹¹¹In, ¹¹³Sn, ^117mSn, ^125mSn, ^125gSn, ¹¹⁵Sb, ^116mSb, ¹¹⁷Sb, ^118mSb ^120mSb, ¹²²Sb, ¹²⁴Sb and ¹²⁵Sb and compared with the earlier published data sets. For all excitation functions comparisons with theoretical calculations using the ALICE-IPPE, EMPIRE, EAF and the TALYS codes were performed.
