The giant Donggebi Mo deposit in Eastern Tianshan was formed during 236–231 Ma. The porphyry originated from partial melting of a thickened lower continental crust. The continental crust in Tianshan is juvenile and sourced from a depleted mantle. The Donggebi porphyry Mo deposit is of Dabie-type formed in continental collision.
