Introduction: MET, a receptor tyrosine kinase, and its ligand, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), are critical in cellular proliferation, motility, and invasion. We hypothesize that elevated MET and HGF gene expression predicts metastatic spread and poor survival in colorectal (CR) cancer patients.
