Energy-exergy analysis is made for a rotary kiln based on actual operational data. A great amount of heat energy of 30 MW is exhausted from the chimney of rotary kiln. Waste heat power Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is adapted to use this exhausted gas. Optimum operation condition and best fluid are determined for maximum heat recovery. Heat exchanger and evaporator showed the maximum exergy destruction.
