Fixed bed reactor and micro-fluidized bed reactor connected to a photoionization mass spectrometer (PI-MS). Primary tars are analyzed on-line by this unique PI-MS. Modelling of the transient phenomena as analyzed by on-line PI-MS. PI-MS combined with micro-reactors is a powerful tool to study heat transfers and kinetics of solid fuels pyrolysis.
