Nanosized MgH2 was formed through the reduction di-n-butylmagnesium with Li, K and Na.

This offers new means to stabilise nanosized magnesium particles for hydrogen cycling.

This provides a new route to prepare nanosized perovskite structures for hydrogen storage.
