A multi-parametric stress inversion method accuracy evaluation study is performed. The stress inversion method accuracy can be inversely correlated to the misfit angle. WB and BEM-based stress inversion methods are globally accurate and complementary. BEM stress inversion performs well for natural faults with sliding friction. WB based stress inversions implicitly implements a realistic sliding friction.
