Unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes simulation was performed on a practical-scale gasifier. Effect of CO2 recycle on gasification characteristics was investigated in detail. Recycled CO2 plays a complicated role to promote or suppress gasification reaction. Results suggested that the recycled CO2 improved gasification performance.
