Decentralized reactive power control of distributed PV and wind power generation units using an optimized fuzzy-based method

The paper presents a fuzzy-based method for reactive power control of DGs. The proposed control method is decentralized and online. Gradient descent algorithm is used to optimize the fuzzy membership functions. Reactive power constraints of PV system and 2 types of wind turbine are considered. Stator and grid side converter of DFIG-based wind turbine are coordinated.
