4 microwave radiative transfer models are compared against surface-based measurements. Simulated TB sensitivity analysis using the same inputs shows differences. Using model-specific snow microstructure measurements as inputs, divergences appear. Measured snow microstructure must be scaled for optimizing the simulations.
