Priming effects in biochar enriched soils using a three-source-partitioning approach: 14C labelling and 13C natural abundance

14C was combined with 13C to partition soil CO2 from SOC, biochar and glucose. The primed CO2 with glucose (1000 mg kg-1 soil) were 140% more in biochar amended soil. Glucose (100 mg C kg-1) produced no differences in PE between biochar free and amended soils. Glucose caused priming of biochar decomposition between 270 and 540 μg CO2-C g-1.
