Introduction: Comparative outcomes, risks and benefits of off pump versus on pump coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery remain controversial. Factors including advanced age, previous stroke, left ventricular dysfunction and calcific aorta prompted the introduction of the off pump CABG (OPCAB) to our cardiothoracic surgical practice.
