Sauchinone inhibited proliferation of human HCC cells in a dose-dependent manner. It induced G0/G1 cell cycle arrest, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptosis. Sauchinone suppressed the malignant properties of HCC cells. Anti-cancer effects of sauchinone are caused by regulation of the AMPK-mTOR axis.
