Sarsasapogenin derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxicity. The structure-activity relationship was investigated. Compounds 5h, 5n, and 5o exhibited remarkable growth inhibition on MCF-7 cells. Compound 5n arrested MCF-7 cells at the G2/M phase and induced apoptosis.
