A new method for multiple cytokines/chemokines detection in mice BALF was performed. The minimum detection limit of cytokines/chemokines with this novel miniaturized Luminex method was decreased by two orders of magnitude compared with conventional Luminex method. The sample volume was minimized to 5 μL. The consumption of reagents and beads was reduced by a factor of 5 compared with the conventional Luminex method. The total cost of experiments was significantly reduced by 80% compared with the conventional Luminex method.
