•: Mn, Co co-doped BFO/CFO double-layer film has been successfully deposited by CSD.
•: Effect of co-doping on structure, multiferroic properties of films was studied.
•: Mn, Co–BFO/CFO shows superior multiferroic P_r ∼ 123 渭C/cm² and M_r ∼ 67 emu/cm³.
•: The reduction of Fe²⁺ and the existence of high valence Fe were confirmed by XPS.
