In this paper research results of the flow curves of AlCu2SiMn alloy are presented. Torsion, compression and tension tests were carried out. The modified “inverse” method was used for analysis of the compression test. The minimization of the differences between theoretical and experimental forces is the essence of the “inverse” method. Several methods were used to evaluate the torsion test results. The Tresca, Mises, Morozumi, Nadai and Hajduk equations were applied to calculate equivalent strain. The comparison of the curves from the torsion, compression and tension tests is presented. The material models obtained from those curves were used in the simulation of the various deformation processes. Comparisons of theoretical and experimental forces were carried out. On the basis of the results obtained, the usefulness of the investigated method for FEM analysis of metal forming processes was concluded.
