Designing three low energy homes for Saudi Arabian Climate and context. Propose a low energy reference definition standard in kWh/m2. The three proposed homes offer a reduction in energy consumption of up to 71.6%. Domestic energy level is proposed to be between 77 kWh/m2 and 98 kWh/m2. Economic and environmental benefits are discussed for enforcing low carbon design.
